Consider the Good
Immanuel R. Knight
There’s some bad out there, oh traveler
But never forget the good
Shadows thrive only in their valley
Recall that mount, where the son once stood
Wrap not thy head in a cloth of worry
Give your heart to God
In not these matters wander or hurry
Ponder not the wicked, nor evils abroad
Give your thoughts everyday to God
In love remember, in thanks bequeath
Perform good acts, of righteous thought
Love thy neighbor in every deed
Consider the good that others hide
Evil wants you to think it’s gone
God’s goodness abounds all the time
In love and light, do stand upon
Give God your worries, your every need
Surrender your heart in full
In the end of forever only God will be
So good, so great, so wonderful
Just believe in the good
Shine your heart with hope
Give greatly and greater if you would
No need to muse, meander, or mope
