The Little Girl and Her Bike

  1. Read the story and recite it the way you remember it:

One sunny day, I took my bike for a ride down a hill. There was a small bump on the road meant to slow down cars.

When I hit the bump, my bike flew up! The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital. I was surrounded by a doctor, nurses, and a familiar face. I recognized him as the man who worked at an electronics store near where I was riding my bike.

He explained what had happened. After my bike hit the bump, I fell and fainted in the middle of the road. He remembered me because I always smiled and said hi whenever I passed by. He and his friend couldn't leave me there, so they quickly stopped a taxi and took me to the hospital.

  2. What could have happened to you if you were left alone in the middle of the road?
  3. Why did the man rush to your rescue when you fainted?
  4. Was it your character that saved you, or you were saved because of your beauty?
  5. What would have happened to you if the people who saw what happened, wished to help, but hesitated because you were a rich man's child, and would be accused of trying to steal from you?
  6. While you were lying in the middle of the road, was it the money in your pocket that came out of your pocket, hailed a taxi, and took you to the hospital?
  7. Was it your expensive bike, clothes, or phone that saved you?
  8. Was it your parents that came to your rescue?
  9. Who took you to the hospital?
  10. Was it your rich parent's maid or personal assistants who found you and took you to the hospital?
  11. Who saved you?
  12. What would have happened to you when you fainted on the road if you had been rude to the people around you, or simply pretended that they did not exist anytime you passed by?
  13. How should we treat the people around us?
